Image of Illusion

Yes, he was given the power and glory of riches and fame. Yes, he was one of the most admired beings on the planet. Yes, he gave the world music. The real man behind the myth was not about peace and love. He was man who chose to abuse the gift God had given him and serve the enemy. Many years have passed and the image of illusion still did not come to light even for me. I myself did not really want to know the truth about this individual. I craved God's gift of discernment to overcome this illusion that I carried with me for many years. I did not want to live the deception any longer. Deep in my spirit, I knew that this person had lived a godless life of adulteries, orgies, drunkenness, drugs and false doctrines. This is everything I stand against. It is also everything Christ stands against. God gave this person many chances in life to repent and use his gifts for the good of mankind. The sad reality the man did nothing for humanity other than babble a few good chosen words of encouragement. He knew everyone would listen when he spoke but he himself did not actually pick up the shovel to help with the actual labor. He once sang of living a humble existence without possessions but he himself was surrounded with luxuries and enough monies that could have lifted many people from a so called humble life.
Mark10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. This very sad man tried to find himself many times in life but refused to believe the truth. God offered salvation to him but he rejected it. Perhaps, in his very last breathing moments of life he may have saw the light of truth. We will never know. Only God knows.

  In the early seventies, I once lived in this house that had an upper bedroom that had access to the attic of the house. I used to go upstairs and play in this room all the time. There was a big ugly green upholstered armchair with big saddle arms in the room. I happened to be sitting on this hideous chair one day and put my hand down the back of the chair. I felt something hard and smooth and pulled the items out. It was coins. I found lots of quarters in that big old armchair that day. Battle of the Cigarette Curse

 One of the worst decisions in my youth at 17 years old was to pick up the nasty habit of cigarette smoking. Before I became a smoker I was a beautiful teenage girl with long flowing brown hair, smart and athletic with no bad habits. I also had a powerful singing voice that I trained myself without any outside lessons. Yeah, I may have been a little vain and loved the fact that I could walk down the street and people would stare at me all the time. However, a rough home life started to change my attitude and appearance. I cropped my hair and bleached it blonde and wore heavy eye makeup. I wanted to make a statement that I was a tougher individual than my previous girl next door look. I wanted to be free from all the ka offs that were occurring in the home. The Pipe Dream Is Over

  For several years I faithfully played the lottery. I was hoping at one point and was sure I would win the huge jackpot so I could buy this large elegant chateau type house that was on the market. I ogled this house so much and even knew how I would furnish and decorate it once I was moved in. Oh, did I want that house so bad! I even went overboard on my budget and bought a lot of Lotto Max lottery tickets hoping I would have the correct numbers. I even calculated the possibility of numbers and combinations for more chances to win. I would fantasize all the time about this beautiful mansion and about how much life would be better owning a large estate and having all the luxuries I do not have now. It was a wonderful dream and the lottery helped me produce those dreams in my head but the let down was it did not get me the ultimate win I needed to buy that house!
