High School Memories

Back in the early 80s,  high school is not something I fondly remember.  The school was located in the heart of a small but not so friendly town.  I myself hated all most every moment of attending this high school on a regular basis. Some of the teachers were half out of it doing nothing to help but just sitting their at their desk doing nothing but looking dumb.  Quite often they did not want to even help the students if they were having a problem.  I found it absolutely boring and didn't want to be there.  It was more interesting to skip out with friends and hang out in the local coffee shops during the school hours or sometimes partying at a friends house out of rebellion. Sometimes we would just drive around town laughing and joking about the pitfalls of life not even giving regard to the future. The kids in this high school were just as equally cruel.  One friend I had known had almost faced one of the cruelest jokes planned for Halloween.  ...

Tinker Tinker Little Star

As a child I grew up in a pet friendly family. Each one of these cats and dogs had their own unique personality and they would usually attach themselves to the children in the family. Some animals were strays who would stumble across our home and stayed. It was not hard to become attached to each cat or dog that came as part of the family home. I remember one such little dog that had been given by friends. I was only about eight or nine at the given time. As I remember ,this particular dog was very small. She was a small brown terrier type dog who possessed big dark sad eyes. Her name was Tinker. One day we moved to a new home. This house was near a fairly busy road where vehicles travelled fairly quickly. It was one late afternoon I was standing on the front porch of the house.
