Once In A Lifetime

The timing would have been perfect for a weekend out of town to go to Vancouver to witness Sir Paul McCartney in concert. The pricing would have been reasonable enough to see a big name like Paul McCartney playing live in Vancouver, BC. It was just a little too late because I only realized Paul McCartney would be playing in Vancouver a day before this once in a lifetime event took place.  Tickets were all sold out  long before I knew anything at all. I guess I should have kept up what was happening on the outside world instead of being caught up with my everyday affairs from the inside. As a youngster I had great admiration for the Beatles and Paul McCartney was my favorite because he was the cutest. When I got a bit older I became more drawn to John Lennon. But hey, a Beatle is a Beatle and I feel somewhat irked at myself for missing something that I probably will never get a chance to see again in the future. This is the second time Paul McCartney has played in Vancouver sin...

Escalator Mishap Watch Your Step

Image
One can read the many stories of freak accidents or mishaps about elevators and escalators on the internet Though useful for the general public, elevators and escalators can also prove to be very dangerous if they malfunction, misused or when one is wearing worn out footwear. When I was thirteen years old, I recall a close call with an escalator when I was shopping in a mall at one time. The mall had two separate floors which were accessible by escalator. I decided I wanted to go to the upper floor to check out all the stores. It was about half way up the escalator that the tip of my rubber soled sandal became partially caught on the edge of the moving stairwell. I sort of panicked as I could feel my shoe getting tighter as it was being pulled. It frightened me as I was trying to pull my foot back to try and release the tip of my sandal. It didn't budge and it was still being pulled tighter as the stairwell came closer to the top of the exit of the escalator. I decided at that poin...

Death Of An Unhealthy Relationship

Many years ago She was looking for love, companionship and security. Those days were God awful lonely for She. Hard times had fallen on She even harder as the cost of living was rising rapidly. She could no longer keep her apartment and had to move back home. This wasn't exactly the ideal she had in mind but it was a roof over the head but only for a little while. No money, no car, no nothing but a load of household furniture and goods on she's back with no place to call home. She was terribly sad and lonely and really needed to find her other half. It was hard to do when she was practically living in the middle of nowhere. Well, at least there was a telephone. So She decided to inquire about a nearby dating site. She talked with a few people on the phone until she finally did meet one dude who actually had resided across the river valley from where She had been living. The first phone conversation with this potential mate seemed pleasant and so She and He decided to meet in p...

Beautiful Black Cat Abraham

Image
Our beautiful black cat Abraham has just turned four months old. He is no longer the tiny kitten when we first got him. He now weighs approximately six pounds and is now showing signs of officially turning into a cat rather than the baby kitten he once was only two months ago. Abraham is not a fussy eater and will pretty much eat anything put before him. He loves to dine on wet cat food andd dry cat food. Any brand will do but we feed our cat Special Kitty wet cat food that can be bought at Walmart for a fairly good price. We also feed him Purina kitten chow. Abraham's fur is very sleek and shiny. His mother was a tabby cat but I suspect possibly Abraaham may carry some of the Bombay cat breed in his veins. My internet cat breed studies of the Bombay cat breed definitely show the same body build and shiny black fur that Abraham also possesses. He also displays personality traits of this specific cat breed. Our cat is very affectionate and friendly and loves human company. He has a ...

No More Dark Ugly Roots

Again more than enough years had passed. The arrival of spring of 2012 reminded me the days of my youth. Flashing images in my mind of a beautiful blonde shade of hair color triggered my curiosity to dabble in the risky business of hair bleaching and hair coloring all over again even after a long past hair coloring horror story occurence in the days of my youth. Of course, this time being much more experienced and wiser when playing around with hair coloring chemicals, I was willing to roll the dice once again and take my chances. So off to the beauty section in the grocery store to collect all the necessary items to proceed with my new dream hair color. The first hesitation of changing my hair color was the prices of the bleach, color and conditioners. Some of the products were on sale so that would have helped cut the cost somewhat. Wow, I thought, never was this expensive at one time even doing it myself in my own bathroom. Right then and there I almost put everything back on the sh...
