Web Dreams
It had been a dream of mine for a number of years to launch my own website. Thoughts rolled through my mind that I would become an instant "webstar". I had these wonderful images of overnight success with unlimited traffic and hot selling items. It was just like one of those fairytale movies with no bad scenes. It was perfect and nothing was going to stop me from having my own perfect little movie. There was no thought to the reality of the cost of producing that movie which I would take the lead role. All seemed like a piece of cake till I actually saw the bill and the hours of painstaking, unpaid work and research put into everything just to even get started with my first opening show with no ticket holders.
The thought of being this almost non-existent floating particle in a vast universe of computers and the internet almost made me want to log off and shut down. It was no longer the same dream as I once had. A sense of impending failure loomed over my head. Questions popped up all around me. Did I waste money on expensive software? Did I not plan ahead soon enough? Or was it just bad luck? The answer to all of these questions is a definite no. Part of the dream is going through the "nightmare" scene. That is even how most movies are actually produced. The moral of the story is to never give up on your dreams. If there is hesitation in your dreams the simple solution is to store them away in your documents for future editing rather than tossing them away into the recycle bin.
